Pamela Spitzmueller
Washington, DC

PAMELA SPITZMUELLER is Chief Conservator for Special Collections at Harvard University Libraries where she heads the Weissman Preservation Center Conservation Lab. She specializes in the history of book materials and book structures. She makes historical models based on historical book features as well as one-of-a-kind artists' books influenced by her research and conservation work. Pam is also a co-director of the Paper and Book Intensive, an annual event focusing on high-level specialist instructor / participant interaction in traditional and innovative courses.
