Fydor Dostoevsky's text in design binding. Acrylic painting in the style of Fritz Eichenberg. The French binding is full calf skin painted with ocher and brown leather dyes. The "byzantine" design on the front cover has been achieved by the use of old Gothic carving and punching techniques.

At first glance this scene looks pessimistic but as one looks closer, he notices the light shining down on the two main characters, indicating hope for the future. The edges are black with gold tooling, illustrating the 'thorn path' to redemption.
