In the Winter Season
Sandy Groebner Black and white photographs, computer printed text, long-stitch binding. 6 1/8 x 8 1/2 x 1/2 in number 1 edition of 1 In a society that works to limit and/or place very specific labels on desire and sexuality, it becomes increasingly difficult not to censor ourselves, not to limit the spectrum of our desire. This work is semi-autobiographical in nature and touches parts of the larger spectrum of (my) desire. "In the Winter Season" combines my writing with my photographs. "Warm summer / in the winter season / I try to imagine / like your body distant, lingering / in the days between your voice / and only my own smell / to remind me." | ||||
