I have had a lifelong penchant for describing in visual terms things which are by definition unseen and indescribable. From my earliest one-man show I have worked and reworked intangibles into tangible shapes. The media of artist book has presented itself as perfect for my investigations, with the multidimensional sculptural-like qualities of the book as object, and also the interconnectedness possible between elements of the Book and my subjects and the visual aspects of the printed page, the character of paper and binding, perfect for the expression of complicated visual/textual/textural relationships. For the past few years my works have gove over into the new sensory dimension, and sound has added itself as an ear to the eye for juxtaposing or re-enforcing ideas. My work encompasses all forms of printmaking, sculpture, fine binding, experimental and historical wood-engraving, painting, drawing, and music.
