The press exists for the passion of making finely crafted books by hand which integrate literature and art. I've come to think about the philosophy of the process in spiritual terms. It involves a search for harmony as well as a dedication to craft and love of materials. When successful, the handmade book is a sensual object; a visual feast; an experience which moves in space and time; and an intellectual exchange with the reader.
