When first reading in "Prairie Schooner" Ron Hansen's NEBRASKA, I knew I had to find the robustly lyrical evocation of mid-western life an appropriate home in a letterpress book. This prose account seemed a tempting springboard for making a typographic statement about the landscape I've lived upon in five mid-western states since my birth.
