Nina M. Schneider 1990 Text by Bruno Shulz, died c. 1942, designed and printed by Nina Schneider, title page illustration by Jean Butterfield. Letterpress printed. Linoleum cuts and foundry type. Single signature binding with dust jacket. letterpress printing single signature binding 9 x 5 1/2 in 10 pages text by Bruno Shulz illustrated by Jean Butterfield published by JuxtaPRESSition Bruno Shulz became my favorite author as soon as I read his book. This book is an excerpt of a short story within a story filled with mystical and mythical imagery and writing. Reading the book reminds me of watching an accident, repulsive when you analyze it, but fascinating while you witness it. I have dedicated this pamphlet to Kathy Walkup, who introduced me to book arts and revealed to me as many fascinating things about books as Shulz did about his imagination. | ||||
