SPECIALIST by Robert Sheckley has an unusual history. Over ten years ago I read this short story whose vision of both personal and intergalactic harmony deeply moved me. When I began JHW Editions I immediately began looking for an artist to illustrate the story, and when Susanna Bergtold agreed to do it, the edition quickly followed. The etched aluminum cover, along with the die-cut pages and clear vinyl slip case, all serve to bring the reader into the story.
