Jesse Glass's strange and wonderful poem about a mystical lion evokes a timeless, multi-layered vision. It is illuminated by the colorful imagery that flows in and out of his words. Iconography from Africa to pre-Columbian America to medieval Europe mesh to form a visual panoramic journey that unfolds on the ten lushly colored panels in this accordion-style book.
