Birch Brook Press attempts to bring together strong poetry or prose with imaginative art in letterpress editions that are reasonably priced, thereby making such editions available to an audience that might otherwise have no contact with these ancient crafts. Author/artist Barbara de la Cuesta draws upon her talents in this prose-poem, illustrated by four original linocuts, to illuminate the complex human relationships that comprise her daily work as a professional in an old-age facility.
