My involvement and appreciation of a successful book, an engaging book, happens when inspiration linked with training produces that moment when the perceptions of the artist come to fruition and the viewer receives insight to that experience on a personal level. The components of a book: text; imagery; materials; craft; structure; insight; inspiration; collaboration; should equal more than its sum total.
