In life we often start out on a journey without knowing exactly where we will end up. My artwork has likewise taken me places I never expected to be. I initially turned to the book form in 1985 to solve a technical problem I was having constructing three dimensional prints. On my way to this answer I became caught-up with the traditional function and conceptual potential of the book. Nine years later I am still engaged with the book as a visual form. I am delighted by the book's ability to hold or convey information, to tell a narrative or sequential story or to just delight the eye as the turning of the page moves the viewer through both time and space.
