I have had a long involvement with paper, stemming from my graduate work in printmaking and drawing. During this period I became interested in making books -- partly because of their potential to relay time through a sequence of images and partly for their sculptural possibilities. Eventually I began using paper as a medium in itself. Since then I have developed over thirty one-of-a-kind "pop-out" books which incorporate string, collage, wire and fragments of prints.
