Genetic Revolution, The

"The Genetic Revolution" belongs to the "Manu Scriptus" series. This series of works on paper, vellum, and parchment was begun in 1994 and will continue for the next two years. They are illuminated manuscripts of contemporary issues. The texts are culled from newspapers and magazines whose contents are of universal interest. The form they take has been inspired by the history of handmade, one-of-a-kind bookmaking. Much care was given to the use of appropriate materials and calligraphic styles. All works are of mixed media including gouache, permanent inks, leather, and gold leaf.
