Travel Diary

Marc  Lepson

1995
number 1
edition of 1

"Travel Diary" presents three bound canvas volumes which contain fragments of work gloves found during recent travels. Pinned and sewn, these dissections are isolated as a metaphor for the examination of the psychological and physical things we use to buffer ourselves from the world. The glove can protect from discomfort, but can also desensitize the touch. The books are housed in a soft suede pouch which also contains three discarded gloves that the viewer can choose to wear, examine or ignore.
