Album

Biruta  Auna

1995
accordion album with white kid leather cover
accordion binding

For some people, this accordion album features a white kid leather cover with a cloud-like relief offset by a black strip incised at an 80-degree angle. For me, the album represents something else…There are moments, special moments, that streak across your day and make no difference but all the difference, and they can be kept, caught in time, suspended in an album, that unfolds like an accordion across your morning dresser - grouped and fanned in arrays that expand and contract in a rainbow of memories. This is a visual diary to be shuffled like a deck of cards, a deck mostly of hearts, which in their chaotic fall release your imagination into fantasy.
