Alison Alpert and Lois Lowenstein started Alileah Press in 1985 with the highly-admirable aim of producing traditional texts in Hebrew and English. These books are illustrated by Shirley Vernit Anger. One of ony two presses in this country that make a program of publishing in Hebrew--both traditional and modern text; they have so far produced three editions.
