Dard Hunter

In 1960, "Current Biography" described him as follows; "Probably no living man knows more about paper, its early history, and the craft of making it by hand than Dard Hunter, who, by making people more conscious of its importance, has done much to raise the quality of paper made in our time. His interest in the history and methods of papermaking has taken him to remote corners of the world to study primitive techniques, and he has written many authoritative books and articles on the craft."
